High Meadow Education at Fallingwater
The High Meadow student residences facility at Fallingwater was designed to support educational programs while reflecting the timeless architecture and natural setting of one of America's most celebrated landmarks. The project required materials that offered lasting performance while complementing the warmth and authenticity of the surrounding environment.
Zandur cork flooring was selected for the new bedrooms and bathrooms, bringing natural beauty, acoustical comfort, and long-term durability to the space. Its distinctive character and resilient performance make cork an ideal choice for environments where design, comfort, and sustainability are equally important.
Following completion, visitors praised the finished spaces, with Fallingwater noting that many commented on "how beautiful the cork is" and that it "made all the difference" in the project. It's a lasting example of how thoughtfully selected natural materials can elevate both the experience and performance of a space. See Metropolis Magazine's article here.
